I just added this to my website and I am so excited about it! I've been thinking about this one for awhile now, and when I did little Claire's pictures last week on her second birthday, I realized how special and important it is to preserve these times in their lives.  

Every year I take my children on their birthday shoots and we go to a location they want to go to. Sometimes it's just around home, in old Abbotsford, out in a field, or on a trail through the forest to name a few. They also get to choose an outfit and I get to choose an outfit.  Sometimes we incorporate balloons (which I can supply if you're interested!) big lolly's, fun umbrellas, a favourite toy (Thomas the Train made it into many shoots with my son when he was younger) or anything else your child is into at the time of their birthday.

I will be shooting these throughout the year, so if you're interested you can book up to 3 months in advance to secure your spot.  The shoot can take place within one week of their birthday.

Changes

As the summer comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on how wonderful and carefree the last couple of months have been.  Sleeping in, last minute trips to the beach, late night talks on the porch as the evening air turns cool. Ohhh summer, how wonderful you are! 

But, I have to admit, the summer is not my favourite season.  The spring and fall equally take the # one standing. I love the newness of spring and the colour of fall. I am looking forward to cool crisp days, and warm homemade soup. I love change, and this fall is seeing a lot for Red Wagon Photography.  The first change is, my new sign!

When I began my business in 2006, my goal had always been to build my business until I could go more full time by the time Connor was in grade one.  Well, in 13 short days, my little boy will be headed off to first grade.  So as of September 1st, I will be able to take on more clients as well as pursue some personal photography projects that have been swirling around in my mind and heart for a while now.

I hope all have had a safe and happy summer!

I am now off to the beach with the kiddos!  But I will leave you with a shot of Elissa I took yesterday.

 

Out of the office

I will be away from my office until Thursday  morning. I will have no access to phone or internet, but feel free to send me an e-mail or leave a message, I just can't return it until Thursday!  Here is a quick peek at an engagement shoot I did last night... more to come!

Out of town dates

I will be out of town from July 10 - July 13 as well as from July 18 -  July 27.

This will  include some shoots but mostly vacation time. So if you have a shoot booked during these times, it's all good!

I likely will only have minimal access to e-mail but feel free to write and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
